What to expect if we work together

Starting with a free 30-minute discovery call to help you decide if neurodivergent-affirming coaching is right for you right now.

Following a simple format, we'll explore what's prompted you to get in touch and whether we're the right fit for each other.

If we decide to work together, hourly sessions will take place one-to-one by video call, ideally weekly.

Sessions are structured to feel purposeful and flexible enough to spend time exploring whatever priority you have that week.

You'll leave understanding yourself better, equipped with tactics that are best-suited to what you need to move forward.

Why is coaching beneficial?

In today's world, we can easily lose valuable energy comparing ourselves against unreasonable standards.

We may feel adrift, trying to fit within processes or systems that were designed for a majority that didn't include us.

This can cause us to struggle with extra demands being put on our executive functioning skills or an overwhelmed nervous system.

When we tune into our authentic selves, we're able to identify our natural strengths and uncover the beliefs that may be holding us back.

With deeper self-awareness we can find the optimum way to move forward.

Inflexion Paths provides a safe space, to show up exactly as you are, tap into the knowledge and experience of your unique wiring and take steps to deal with the challenges you're experiencing so you can move forward with greater ease.

How effective will coaching be for me or someone I care about?

Here are some of the typical experiences clients have described before we started working together:

▶ Feeling swamped by daily demands, despite efforts to plan ahead.

▶ Saying “yes” too often and struggling to set or stick to boundaries.

▶ Experiencing guilt or anxiety when trying to prioritise own needs.

▶ Fluctuating between periods of peak productivity and burnout.

▶ Having a strong desire to change but being unsure where to begin.

▶ Finding it hard to make or maintain routines that work for me.

▶ Getting stuck in exhausting cycles of masking and people-pleasing.

▶ Detecting disconnection from my own goals or sense of direction.

▶ Struggling to filter and organise thoughts, especially under pressure.

▶ Wanting to feel more confident in myself, not just my achievements.

▶ Craving structure, but finding that rigid systems stifle my progress.

▶ Giving up on plans / projects that suddenly feel hopeless / irrelevant.

▶ Wanting to rewrite internalised labels like ‘failure’, 'inadequate', ‘lazy’.

▶ Needing to be heard and validated, while finding new ways forward.

Why choose me as your coach?

Before training as an ADHD coach, I was business professional with 20+ years in tech and telecoms as well as a mum with teenagers.

Recognising my own neurodivergence was an inflexion point that helped me understand myself.

Suddenly, I had an answer to the decades' old question "why is this so draining for me?"

The work I'd checked again and again to ensure it was flawless.

The deadlines I'd hit that left me energy-depleted with little time for recalibrating.

The emotional intensity I seemed to feel more than most people.

The exhaustion, and shame, of feeling different in environments that weren't ideal for my highly tuned-in brain and deeply-sensing nervous system.

I'm not just trained in this — I've lived my own version of it.

Your lived experience, what you find easy or challenging, will be different.

And I know what it's like to be seen as a 'high-functioning', professional woman who appears to be holding everything together while often running on empty.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is neurodivergent-affirming coaching?

Neurodivergent-affirming coaching supports how your brain naturally works. It avoids pathologising and focuses on strengths, sensory needs, and real-life strategies that honour your lived experience.

How is this different from therapy?

Coaching is future-focused and collaborative. While therapy often explores past wounds or diagnoses, coaching supports goal-setting, routine-building, and navigating everyday challenges with practical tools.

Do I need an ADHD diagnosis to work with you?

No. Many clients have self-identified as neurodivergent, are awaiting an assessment or exploring what neurodivergence means for them. With or without a formal label, your experience is valid.

Can coaching help with executive functioning?

Yes. Executive functioning challenges, like time agnosia, task initiation, motivation, planning, and emotional regulation, are at the heart of my neuro-affirming coaching.

What kinds of goals can we work on together?

Even if you're not yet aware of your personal or professional goals, I can help you identify them. These may include setting boundaries and routines; taking steps to recover from burnout; improving work-life balance; unmasking and aligning with core values etc.

Is this coaching approach trauma-informed?

Yes. Neuro-affirming coaching recognises the impact of trauma, rejection sensitivity, and chronic invalidation. It creates space for safety, autonomy, and trust.

Will I need to “fix” myself or “perform” better?

You are NOT broken, deficient or flawed. So coaching is not about getting "fixed”. Coaching is about helping you identify and align with your strengths, building habits and systems that work for you, while validating your experience so you can let go of any shame.

What if I don’t know where to start?

This is very common as we often don't reach out for support until we're really struggling. We'll collaborate to agree a path forward that validates you, whatever your starting point is, and personalises steps ahead so they're manageable and affirming.

What can I expect during a discovery call?

It’s a free 30-minute conversation to explore what you're finding problematic, what’s getting in your way, and where support could help. No pressure. No pushy selling. Just space for you to ask questions, reflect honestly, and see if coaching feels like something you would benefit from right now, and whether working with me is the right fit for you.
